Book Vouchers

Your financial aid application must be processed and you must be eligible for financial aid to receive a book voucher.  Students who are eligible for a book voucher MUST submit the online Book Voucher Request Form at http://northharris.lonestar.edu/146264/.  Early online sign-up will begin on Monday, December 1, 2008 through January 4, 2009.  Please be aware book vouchers can only be released to the student with a picture ID.

1. Tuition

Your grant is applied toward your tuition and fees first.  Any remaining balance after the grant has been applied is your responsibility.  If you completely withdraw or a class is cancelled by LSC-North Harris, you may owe back part or all of your financial aid award(s).

2. Book Voucher Requirements

• Book vouchers are issued through the college which awarded you.  For example, if your aid is awarded through Cy-Fair College, your book vouchers must be issued by Cy-Fair College.
• You must have a final class schedule; any changes to your schedule after book vouchers are issued are your responsibility.

• Your student account must have a credit balance of at least $25.
• You must present a picture ID.

3. Book Voucher Guidelines:

• Book vouchers are issued based on the number of credit hours enrolled.
• Recipients will be given $40 per credit hour, if eligible.
• Valid at any Lone Star College bookstore.

• If your book voucher is lost or misplaced, it cannot be replaced or credited back to your student account. Treat your book vouchers like cash!
• If you do not need or cannot use the book voucher, return the book voucher to our office so we may credit the amount back to your student account.
• Bookstores require that you spend at least 70% of the amount listed on the book voucher. If you cannot spend at least 70%, please let us know so we can issue a voucher for a lesser amount.
