On Friday, Oct. 31, 6 to 8 p.m., Lone Star College-Carver Center, located at 2330 S. Victory St, will be hosting a community-wide free, fun, and safe alternative to Halloween trick or treating. The family-oriented event offers free candy, prizes, games, moon walks, face painting, giant slide, costume contest, haunted house, and elaborate decorations. Children, neighbors, friends and families are all invited to this 100 percent free event. All children must be accompanied by adults.
