HOUSTON (Oct. 11, 2008) Lone Star College-North Harris Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Bennie Lambert, recently announced Vickie Johnson as the college's new director of financial aid.
Johnson has a strong background in financial aid that incorporates streamlining the packaging processes, budgeting and forecasting to meet the need of an organization. She has 11 years of financial aid experience and has most recently served as financial aid director for Kaplan Higher Education and Career Education Corporation. Her employment background also includes the Art Institute of Houston and Rice University. Johnson's holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs degree from Texas Southern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
Johnson is currently affiliated with several professional organizations including the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the National Association of Black MBAs. She currently resides in Humble Texas with her active 12-year-old son.
