Payment

You can pay tuition and fees by cash, check and credit card. 

Due Dates

Spring 2009

For early registration of spring classes:
Monday, January 5 (by 7:00pm)

After Monday, January 5 at 7:00pm:
After this date, and until the first day of class, payment is due at the time of registration. If registering via phone, payment must be made by credit card.  If registering online, payment can be made by check or credit card.

Winter mini-mester 2008

For early registration of winter mini-mester classes:
Friday, December 5 (by 4:30pm)

After Friday, December 5 at 4:30pm
After this date, and until the first day of class, payment is due at the time of registration.  If registering via phone, payment must be made by credit card.  If registering online, payment can be made by check or credit card.

TouchNet payment plans are not available for Minimester classes.

COLLECTION COSTS:
If obligations are not paid in full upon notification by the college, these debts may be referred to an outside collection agency and to appropriate credit bureaus.  Resulting collection costs willbe added to the original debt and the student must pay these costs, as well as attorney’s fees, if applicable.  Furthermore, all unpaid obligations will result in a hold on student records, diplomas, transcripts and future registration activity.

Tuition Payment Installment Option using TouchNet

Students will no longer be able to setup "paper" plans at the campus business office. For further information, please see the TouchNet Payment Plan page at www.lonestar.edu/ppm.

An electronic signature is required, and 50 percent of the tuition and fees plus a $20 incidental installment payment service fee are due prior to the first day of the semester unless registering early.

Early registrants must start the installment option by the first payment due date. Being approved for a payment plan will not prevent you from being dropped from all classes if such plan is not exercised by the early registration payment and fees deadline. Remaining payments are due by the sixth and eleventh weeks of the semester.

Credit Card Payment

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. Credit card payments can be made over the phone by calling 281.591.6625 or any Lone Star College System business office. Most colleges have boxes where you can leave payment. Current students can pay online via My Records.

Check Payment

The following regulations apply for paying by check:

  • $30 returned check fee
  • If your check is returned, you must pay your tuition promptly or it can be canceled, your registration canceled and your records withheld.
  • No postdated checks will be accepted.
  • No checks will be accepted for a sum larger than the amount of the transaction.
